We have also gained support from the local government and businesses, which was heartening to see. “There have been positive customer feedback and strong results from our pilot projects in Japan. The firm recently collaborated with Kitakyushu City Council to launch a tomato beer that is brewed using excess tomatoes from farms in Kagome.ĬROP’s Amanatsu Honey, a sparkling water made from amanatsu (Japanese summer orange) peels, is also available in Japan. There is a vast variety of surplus ingredients from bakeries, farms and supermarkets, as well as a multitude of distributors available, providing ample opportunities for market penetration and expansion,” Low Jia Yu, Head of Marketing at CRUST Group, told FoodNavigator-Asia. “More than 6 million tonnes of agriculture and food surplus are produced in Japan per year, which amounts to USD19bn of disposal costs annually.

In 2021, the firm brought its concept to Japan, where it has conducted several pilot projects. Its craft beers and non-alcoholic range are retailed under the CRUST and CROP brands respectively.

People say you should not be modeling an entire character, car, building, or any other model, as if the option to have a powerful generator for any or all types of 3d model is accessible to everyone, but these people do not understand that plenty of us blender users don't have access to that.Founded in 2019, the firm has been working with restaurants and hotels to turn leftover bread into beer-making ingredients, and upcycle food waste like fruit peels into non-alcoholic beverages. The tool that allows you to create a realistic human character without reinventing the wheel, and it's priced high (especially the commercial version). MakeHuman isn't part of Blender either, so there's some kind of import/export process to figure out to get the rigged figure into blender (never liked any of my results enough to bother) If you use MB Lab or Makehuman, your best bet is to just toss the original textures and make your own (though if you were going to do that anyway, not much loss there). Human Gen appears to use much higher quality textures. MB Lab and Makehuman use 2K textures for the entire body. I've given up on MH and MBLab and learned to model humans myself because I hated the results. Trying to make the ugly presets less ugly is hard. Collar bone area in particular looks weird, and I'm not impressed with the cartoonish female body presets, ugly male head presets, and the Eevee shader is just awful. MB Lab can look okay, but the figures are also often exaggerated and some of the presets are quite ugly and unrealistic, while many features simply don't work or break in use. There are custom morphs you can add on to make it semi-usable. MakeHuman gives rather ugly results (particularly the eyes and weirdly shaped female chest) and lacks definition in a lot of areas despite it's relatively high poly count. Daz, Fuse, and Character creator will all give you better looking, higher quality results, and HumanGen looks MUCH higher quality as well. MH has generous rights CC0 as well, MBLab not so much. They're okay if you can't model humans, but want art with human characters and don't want to pay money. You will not get results like Human Generator with MH or MBLab no matter how hard you try.

I don't want this to sound like an ad, but they're very much an issue of "you get what you pay for," unfortunately.
